Besides announcing the iOS 6.1 update available for downloads, Apple does release some important statistics about the iOS as well.

“iOS 6 is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, and with nearly 300 million iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices on iOS 6 in just five months, it may be the most popular new version of an OS in history,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

To-date, iOS users have uploaded more than nine billion photos to Photo Stream and sent over 450 billion iMessages and received more than four trillion notifications. Yes. Its trillion!

While the App Store has more than 800,000 apps for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. About 300,000 apps are for iPad usage. App Store users have downloaded more than 40 billion apps and Apple has paid more than $7 billion to developers.

Three days ago, we reported that the first untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak coming soon on December 22th, 2012. But seems like it is just a hoax that fools many iPhone and iPad users. The truth is, no untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak coming anytime soon, at least.

The team is said to be the Dream JB posted on its website said it is working on the first untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak and already on the way for release. Suddenly, the Dream JB posted that it is just another social experiment. Here is the statement from the faker Dream JB:

DreamJB was intended as a social experiment. In the matter of a mere week, over 20,000 people followed @DreamJailbreak on twitter. This website had over 300,000 unique viewers. People believed in a "jailbreak" that originally provided no proof at all. There are services out there that charge for jailbreaks that are intended to be free. Imagine what could have happened should this have gone for sale? The provided proof tonight was intended as a final boost to the viewers before this message was released. Let this be a lesson to the public. PLEASE be careful when it comes to jailbreak solutions that are advertised outside of the prominent and accepted dev teams. Do some research and follow them on Twitter now. - Dream JB. 

We are not sure why there are people creating the hoax and rumours around. We knew that it is not an easy job for creating any free and untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak since Apple tighten the securities of the iOS 6. So we shall just wait and wait and wait for other jailbreak in the future.

45% Percent of Total iOS Devices Running On iOS 6

(GSM Insider) - Last month, Apple released the latest iOS 6 operating system for current iOS users and allow their devices to be updated if their devices are under the list of update. And now, 45.3% of iOS devices are running on the latest iOS 6. 

According to stats from Chartboost, the market share of iOS 6 reached 30% after only 5 days released from Apple. And up to last week, there are 45.3% of iDevices running on iOS 6.

Samsung Claims Apple's iPhone 5, iPad and iPod Infringe Its Patents, Court Hearing at 2014

Google CEO Confirms No Google Maps App For Apple iOS 6 at The Moment

(GSM Insider) - We knew that Apple decided to ditch Google Maps for their iOS 6 and replaced it with its own native Maps. So what people think of the new iOS 6? The answer is "iOS 6 Maps is worst!". This is because there are so many errors and mistakes.

The maps on iOS 6 gave wrong command and direct to user as many users complaint about the reliability of it. So, there are many interested to know whether Google ready to put the Google Maps as an individual app into App Store? The answer is no. 

"We think it would have been better if they had kept ours. But what do I know?" Google CEO Schmidt told a small group of reporters in Tokyo. 

"What were we going to do, force them not to change their mind? It's their call."

"We have not done anything yet," he said.

"I'm not doing any predictions. We want them to be our partner. We welcome that. I'm not going to speculate at all what they're going to do. They can answer that question as they see fit," he said.


"Apple is the exception, and the Android system is the common model, which is why our market share is so much higher," Schmidt said, adding that success was often ignored by the media, which he said was "obsessed with Apple's marketing events and Apple's branding."

"That's great for Apple but the numbers are on our side," he said.

"Take that Apple," he said, adding quickly, "That was a joke by the way."

Is Apple New iPod Nano Copied From Oppo MP4 S33 Player?

(GSM Insider) - Apple used to sue other people for copied their iPhones or iPods. How about this time someone sue them back? This might happens in the near future. Apple announced new iPod Nano a few days back with thinner body and 2.5 inch display. And now, many people suspecting they copied from others. 

From the images above, that is the Oppo MP4 S33 player. Apple new iPod Nano looks similar with the Oppo MP4 S33 that launched in 2009 back in China. The third image is the patents registration from Oppo MP4 S33 player. 

From the images comparison, we can see there are similarities between new iPod Nano and Oppo MP4 player. Both with square design and there is a home button there. But new iPod Nano seems a bit thinner than the Oppo MP4. 

At the moment, there are no details yet from Oppo and Apple. We dont know whether they are going to stop from selling new iPod Nano in China or demands licensing fees from them.

Apple Outs New iPod Touch With 4 Inch Display, A5 Processor and Siri

(GSM Insider) - At the Apple event, Apple unveils the iPhone 5 and the seventh generation iPod Nano. It is the time for new iPod Touch. The new iPod Touch comes with the design that similar with the iPhone 5. The size of the iPhone 5 and new iPod Touch also in the 4 inch. Just the new iPod Touch for media playing and the iPhone 5 is a smartphone.

The new iPod Touch comes with 4 inch display same like the iPhone 5. But the thickness of new iPod Touch is just 6.1mm. The connector and the speaker same like the iPhone 5 as well.
