First step: Check out your device and the iOS version

First of all, the evasi0n iOS 6.X Jailbreak is compatible with all the iOS devices as long as they are running on the version between iOS 6.0 to iOS 6.1. Make sure your devices are compatible with the first criteria before proceeding.

DESCRIPTION:

- evasi0n 1.0 is an untethered jailbreak for all iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini models running iOS 6.0 through 6.1


SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

- MacOSX 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8
- Windows (XP minimum)
- Linux x86/x86_64 (Kernel >= 2.6.24, libgtk+-2.0 >= 2.24.13)


SUPPORTED FIRMWARES:

- iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, and 6.1


INSTRUCTIONS:

- Backup your device using iTunes (or iCloud) before using evasi0n. If something breaks, you'll always be able to recover your data.
- Those who use backup passwords in iTunes must disable them for now.  After doing so, iTunes makes a brand new backup.  Please wait for that backup to complete before proceeding!  Feel free to re-enable your backup password after jailbreaking.
- Please disable the lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n. It can cause issues.
- Launch evasi0n, plug in your device, and click "Jailbreak". Just sit back and observe its progress.  Watch for any steps you may be asked to perform.
- Avoid all iOS and iTunes related tasks until evasi0n is complete. Why not just enjoy a brief break from the computer to stretch your legs?
- If the process gets stuck somewhere, it's safe to restart the program, reboot the device (if necessary by holding down Power and Home until it shuts down), and rerun the process.

Windows RT is kinda confusing operating system that introduced by Microsoft. There are many people that heard before the Windows 8 but never heard before on the Windows RT.

Windows RT is a closed platform from Microsoft. Windows RT only supports ARM Chips and only apps from Windows Store are able to run on it. There are not much freedoms on the Windows RT in term of apps.

The good news is hacker with the name of Clrokr successfully jailbreaks the Windows RT. Yes. Same jailbreak for the iOS of Apple. But the method of jailbreak is definite different. 

Windows RT is a clean port of Windows 8. They are the same thing and MSFT enforces Code Integrity to artificially separate these platforms. It does not stop pirates from modifying store apps (and their license checks) because store apps are the only things that can actually run unsigned. The fact that this method works on Windows 8 as well shows how similar the systems are. You can even enforce Code Integrity on Windows 8 to see what Windows RT feels like! The decision to ban traditional desktop applications was not a technical one, but a bad marketing decision. Windows RT needs the Win32 ecosystem to strengthen its position as a productivity tool. The hacker found out that the only different between Windows RT and Windows 8 is the security check for the apps. He successfully bypass the security lock and runs unsigned apps on the Windows RT system. Unsigned apps are those apps not from the Windows Store.

The bad news is the jailbreak will gone after a restart on your device. This means that the full jailbreak still far from complete and suitable for daily usage. At least Windows RT is getting something new soon.

This could be some kind of joke from Charlie Miller. If this is real truth, iOS 6 users need to suffer for longer time.

The team is said to be the Dream JB posted on its website said it is working on the first untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak and already on the way for release. Suddenly, the Dream JB posted that it is just another social experiment. Here is the statement from the faker Dream JB:

DreamJB was intended as a social experiment. In the matter of a mere week, over 20,000 people followed @DreamJailbreak on twitter. This website had over 300,000 unique viewers. People believed in a "jailbreak" that originally provided no proof at all. There are services out there that charge for jailbreaks that are intended to be free. Imagine what could have happened should this have gone for sale? The provided proof tonight was intended as a final boost to the viewers before this message was released. Let this be a lesson to the public. PLEASE be careful when it comes to jailbreak solutions that are advertised outside of the prominent and accepted dev teams. Do some research and follow them on Twitter now. - Dream JB. 

We are not sure why there are people creating the hoax and rumours around. We knew that it is not an easy job for creating any free and untethered iOS 6 Jailbreak since Apple tighten the securities of the iOS 6. So we shall just wait and wait and wait for other jailbreak in the future.
