(GSM Insider) - Nokia CEO Says Anything Is Still Possible, Hints At Android Device In The Future.
Nokia finally woke up and ready for a radical change? Maybe. In the recent interviews, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop says that Android still possible for the Finnish manufacturer.
According to Spanish media El Pais, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop stated in his interview that anything is still possible for Nokia but the current weapon remains as the Windows Phone.
He says: "We are always thinking about what’s coming next, what will be the role of HTML 5, Android … Today we are committed and satisfied with Microsoft, but anything is possible..."
Seems like the Nokia CEO refuses to rule out Android in the future. Perhaps he woke up and ready to join the Android party. Although the sales of Nokia Lumia 920 are impressive around the world, but the numbers still far more lower than the sales achieved by Samsung Galaxy S3.
GSM Insider opinion: If Nokia really joins Android, it provides another alternative for consumers. However, Samsung, LG, Sony and HTC have been rooted at Android market for a few years. It is hard for Nokia to take the Android market by storm. It is true that Nokia built good Windows Phones, but it remains mystery on the ability of Nokia on Android devices. With Windows Phone on the rise and Android dominates the market, it is good for Nokia to join the Android but never let go the Windows Phone as main focus.
