(GSM Insider) - Rumour: Intel Seeks Partnership With Lenovo and HP To Enter Smart TV Market

According to source from China, Intel interested in the Smart TV market. The latest news suggests that Intel seeks partnership with Lenovo, HP, Compal and Ground Tech for Smart TVs. 

The news added that Smart TV from Intel is not the combination between television and PC but the Smart TV is different from the current Smart TVs in the market.

The Smart TV from Intel going to have own user interface and supports voice differentiation, kinect feature and face recognition. This is definitely a new Smart TV in the market. 

From these point of view, Intel is not looking in processor industry but interested to expand further. How far Intel can go, it depends on the development and R&D of the company.

According to rumours. Mi TV supports HDMI and AV media. Furthermore, it supports WiFi and cable connectivity. The price is said to be around RMB $499. It is interesting to see whether XiaoMi able to integrate Air Play into the Mi TV.

XiaoMi TV vs Apple TV - Is XiaoMi Preparing An Android Digital Media Receiver?

(GSM Insider) - There are analysts said that XiaoMi trying to emulate the success of Apple in China. Earlier this year, the XiaoMi Phone 2 unveiled by CEO Leijun in a keynote event which is similar like the keynote event of Apple. And now, XiaoMi is preparing the digital media receiver like the Apple TV. 

In the latest leaked image, it reveals that XiaoMi digital media receiver (also known as the XiaoMi TV) being placed side to side with the Apple TV. From the leaked image, it shows that the XiaoMi TV is larger than the Apple TV in size. 

According to tipster, XiaoMi TV still in the BETA stage. There are high possibilities that this XiaoMi TV is the prototype. XiaoMi TV is set to based on Android operating system and offers multiple channels. It is said that the XiaoMi TV comes with feature that similar to Apple's Airplay. 

Besides Airplay feature, XiaoMi TV also will feature HDMI port and AV port, this is to ensure it can connect to wireless and wired internet for the internet TV features. It might featured both AirPlay and DLNA as well. 

At the moment, all still at the testing stage. Nothing is official yet as the digital media receiver needs to get approval from Chinese government. The pricing of XiaoMi TV is around RMB $499 only.
