(GSM Insider) - Nokia CEO: China Is The Largest Market For Lumia Smartphones and Localize Is the Key To Success
Nokia CEO Stephen Elop never shy of provided statement about its own Nokia and Windows Phone. It has been awhile since he gave his view and statement.
In the latest Nokia Lumia 920T launch event in China, the current Nokia CEO stated that the land of the dragon is the largest market for its Lumia devices. China is the largest smartphone market at the moment as no country able to overtake in the near future.
Stephen Elop stated that the ability of Nokia in localize its products is the critical success factor for Nokia in the smartphone era. He added that Nokia has the first R&D centre in the world for smartphone and feature phone which is located in China. Thats the main reason behind the ability of Nokia providing localize devices.
Other than this, Nokia successfully partners with Sohu and Jiepang.com for the application while Nokia and Air China agreed in partnership as well. Air China assists Nokia in setting up the wireless charging facilities at Beijing Airport. This enable the users of Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 charge their phone easily while on the move.
Nokia Lumia 920T, Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 are among the latest devices that launched by Nokia in China. Recently, Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 were short-listed as GSM Insider's Top 10 Best Smartphones of the year 2012.
