(GSM Insider) - HTC Targeting On Developing Countries Include Myanmar, Says HTC CEO In Interview.
Year 2012 was a nightmare for the Taiwanese company, HTC. It was dethroned by Samsung as the world's top smartphone marker. If you still remembered, HTC was the top smartphone maker in year around 2010-2011.
The emergence of Samsung, Apple and other manufacturers threaten the growth of HTC. The sales of HTC One Series are not impressive at all. Totally unable to compete with Samsung Galaxy S3 and LG Nexus 4 in the market.
In the recent interview with Taiwanese media, HTC President and CEO Peter Chou gives his view on the future of HTC for this year 2013. At first, Peter Chou stated that he is targeting on the Myanmar market. This is because he was born in that country and its time for him to give something back. Besides Myanmar, HTC targeting other Asian countries like China, Indonesia and Australia. However, HTC will not abandon the European and American market as the expansion continues.
The Myanmar-born Peter Chou agrees that HTC had done not enough effort in promoting its products comparing with Apple and Samsung. However, he denies that HTC on the declining danger. For full interviews, click on the source link.
