(GSM Insider) - iPhone 5 is set to land on the Chinese after months of waiting. iPhone 5 heading to China Telecom and China Unicom is imminent. China Telecom CEO confirmed the launch date will between end of November and beginning of December.
Earlier before, there are rumours stated that the iPhone 5 launch date for China Unicom set on November 20, 2012. But the Exec from China Unicom denied the news.
To make it clear, both China Telecom Chairman and Apple CEO Tim Cook did confirm that the launch date of iPhone 5 is between end of November and beginning of December 2012. So it will arrive in China within first week of December.
According to Wang Xiaoqing that sent this image to us, he captured this iPhone 5 packaging at the office of China Telecom in Shandong, China. The iPhone 5 packaging box is in black colour. He added the iPhone 5 already on the "ready" status for announcement any time.
He added that the iPhone 5 for China Telecom is 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S that offers by China Telecom. The weight is 112g and the thickness is 7.6mm only.
The iPhone 5 for China Telecom supports CDMA2000 3G network and support WCDMA and GSM internal roaming. In other words, this device is compatible for international usage.
In recent report, there are rumours stated that iPhone 5 coming to China Mobile around February as well.
