Before the announcement of LG Nexus 4, online manual suggested that LG Nexus 4 supports USB OTG feature. The USB OTG enable you to view files, images and video directly from PDA, USB drive and others. So you can transfer files easily on the go. 

Recently, Google removed the USB OTG from the manual online of LG Nexus 4. This showed us the USB OTG not available to LG Nexus 4 after all. Disappointed!

As this LG Nexus 4 is not supports the USB OTG. It might bring many inconvenience to those who transfer the files a lot to the device. However, there are many people out there not even know what is USB OTG. If you feel that this feature not important, go ahead for the LG Nexus 4.

This is definitely a sad news for Italian who are interested to purchase the LG Nexus 4. According to LG Italia Facebook Page, the Nexus 4 is not heading to the European country soon.

“LG Electronics Italy will not distribute the Nexus 4 smartphone on the Italian market. The LG and Google branded smartphone is still available on Google Play Store in countries where the service is active”. - LG Italia

What a heart-breaking news for those in Italy that waiting for the release of this Google brand smartphone. Since the Google Play Store is not active in Italy, folks at there is not getting this LG Nexus 4 anytime soon.

LG Nexus 4 not heading to Italy not means end of the world. Although LG not bringing the LG Nexus 4 into the country, but you can get the cousin, LG Optimus G. LG Optimus G supports microSD expansion up to 64GB which is not available at the LG Nexus 4.

We suggest those who living in Italy getting the LG Optimus G rather than the LG Nexus 4 which is overpriced. We will update you soon on this.

(GSM Insider) - Yesterday, Google re-open the sale of LG Nexus 4 to Canadian via Google Play store. Good news today as the sale of resume in the UK and Germany. 

From the latest information posted by Google, the LG Nexus indeed available for purchase later today. The Google Play store starts receiving purchase at 5PM local time. So if you are located at the United Kingdom, then it will be 5PM GMT. If you are located at Germany, then it will be 5PM CET.

LG Nexus 4 and LG Optimus G Glass Back Cover Could Break With Sudden Temperature Changed

(GSM Insider) - So many issue pop-up about the LG Nexus 4. The latest is said to be on the glass that features at the back of the device. The design of glass might be nice but it is not durable or any user friendly.

Few weeks ago, LG Nexus 4 experienced in droptest that showed us how easy the glass back cover broke once it dropped on the cement floor. 

Folk at Droid Life surprisingly found out his LG Nexus 4 glass back cover broke without doing anything on it. It is said that LG Nexus 4 unable to handle the sudden change in the temperature. 

After he using the LG Nexus 4 on a long time, the device getting hotter (it is normal for quad-core smartphone). Soon he found out that it was the time for the device to rest to prevent any overheat. The LG Nexus 4 was placed on the table for a while. Perhaps due to the sudden changed of temperature, the back glass was cracked and you can see at the image above. 

The same goes to the LG Optimus G that made from glass as well. The LG Nexus 4 was built based on the LG Optimus G. So you can see how similar both devices in this issue. REMINDER: The back glass made from the ultra tough Corning Gorilla Glass. But.... this happens.

This incident showed the vulnerable of LG Nexus 4 back cover that made from glass. For the owners of LG Optimus G and LG Nexus 4, you really need to take extra care.

LG Nexus 4 On Sales Again Later Today, 12pm PST

(GSM Insider) - We've received the notification email about the LG Nexus 4. Seems like Google already completed the re-stock and its going to on sales again later today.

In the email, Google stated that the Nexus 4 going to on sale again at 12pm PST (Pacific Standard Time. The current time is around 7.28am PST. Still a few hours to go before the purchase re-open at the Play Store.

The price of LG Nexus 4 remains that same at LG Nexus 8GB for $299 while LG Nexus 4 16GB for $349. However, Google already set the rules that each person only can purchase two units of LG Nexus 4. This is definitely the good news to prevent bulk purchases. 

To recap on the specs of LG Nexus 4 as it has 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixels of camera and latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on board.

Tutorial: How To Activate Or Enable 4G LTE Connectivity On Your LG Nexus 4

(GSM Insider) - Seems like someone successfully activated the 4G LTE connectivity in the LG Nexus 4. Supposely LG Nexus 4 is not compatible for LTE networks even with LTE chips inside. But things might change soon after some Android developers successfully enabled the 4G LTE in it. 

Some LG Nexus 4 users successfully enabled LTE. The main point is the LG Nexus 4 is in Canada. So there are some requirements for your LG Nexus 4 works on 4G LTE. The LG Nexus 4 only supports a specific 4G LTE band only. It is the "Band 4" or known as the AWS. The Spectrum of AWS is 1710 - 1755 MHz band for uplink and 2110 to 2155 MHz band for download. So there only a few carriers that using this "Band 4" (AWS) spectrum: 

- AT&T (USA and some markets)
- T-Mobile (USA, but no LTE)
- Bell Canada
- Rogers Canada
- Telus Canada

So LG Nexus 4 working on the 4G LTE of these networks. There are no news on other networks yet. The T-Mobile 4G LTE network is yet to deploy but coming soon in 2013. 

Instructions

1. Open the dialer.
2. Type *#*#4636#*#* to enter the Testing menu
3. In the Testing Menu, change the radio mode from GSM Only (it might be WCDMA Preferred also) to LTE.
4. Some users reported that in order to enable LTE they needed to create a new APN.

This tweak required only a few steps. So you might try and get your luck on. Since the LG Nexus 4 is 4G LTE enabled, but why Google never mention about it? 

Perhaps Google does not want Nexus fans to confuse with the 4G LTE connectivity since it only works at some particular countries or networks. Those living in United States and Canada benefited from this while others dont. 

So after all, you might just purchase a smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity which is not works in your country. Are you still interested to purchase the LG Nexus 4 or go for the LG Optimus G?
