Mysterious Intel Brand "Redhookbay" Device Spotted At Multiple Benchmarks

(GSM Insider) - Mysterious Intel Made "Redhookbay" Device Spotted At Benchmark

Seems like Intel not only preparing for the mobile processor market but also interested in getting into the smartphone market as well. In the latest benchmark results suggested that that it is indeed that Intel preparing device. 


Nenamark2 Benchmark and AnTuTu Benchmark show off another mysterious device from Intel known as the "Redhookbay". Off course this is definitely the codename or prototype name for the device. Manufacturers always gave some codenames to device before launch into the market with official names.

From the Nenamark2 Benchmark, the Intel Redhookbay device has 720p HD display and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. The Android version is 4.2.1 Jelly Bean which is the latest version. The CPU frequency is 1.6GHz. 

From AnTuTu Benchmark, the Intel Redhookbay device appeared as well. The AnTuTu Benchmark shows similar information like the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean as well. But the CPU frequency is 2GHz. 

The conclusion is this Intel Redhookbay device comes with 1.6GHz - 2GHz of Intel Atom processor, Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, 720p HD display and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. 

This Intel Redhookbay expected to make its appearance at MWC 2013 at Barcelona on February 2013.

(GSM Insider) - Rumour: Intel Seeks Partnership With Lenovo and HP To Enter Smart TV Market

According to source from China, Intel interested in the Smart TV market. The latest news suggests that Intel seeks partnership with Lenovo, HP, Compal and Ground Tech for Smart TVs. 


The news added that Smart TV from Intel is not the combination between television and PC but the Smart TV is different from the current Smart TVs in the market.

The Smart TV from Intel going to have own user interface and supports voice differentiation, kinect feature and face recognition. This is definitely a new Smart TV in the market. 

From these point of view, Intel is not looking in processor industry but interested to expand further. How far Intel can go, it depends on the development and R&D of the company.

Intel might dominating the pc market but it is yet to make its own mark at the mobile device industry. With the rising of smartphone and tablet, Intel definitely set its sight on this mobile device industry. 


From what we've learnt from Chinese source, Intel set to introduce new smartphone platform and low power consumption Intel Atom processors that based on 22nm and 14nm at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona, Spain.

Orange, Lava, Motorola, ZTE and Lenovo are among the manufacturers that introduced smartphone running on Intel Medfield platform. But the sales are not impressive after all. 

There are news stated that Intel set to introduce low budget devices to China and India, but it is definitely going to face fierce competition from MediaTek. MediaTek is a Taiwanese chips maker.

Both Motorola Razr i XT890 and Motorola Razr M XT905 having the same dimension. The design of both devices are similar. However, the specs are definitely different. Motorola Razr i XT890 which is powered by Intel Atom is faster than the LG Nexus 4. The processor in Motorola Razr i XT890 has the processing speed which is as fast as a pc. However, the Motorola Razr M XT905 comes with only dual-core Snapdragon. 

Surprisingly, Google never preloaded both Motorola Razr i XT890 and Motorola Razr M XT905 with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean since they are new devices. However, updates will arrive afterward. LG Nexus 4 has the larger battery capacity compare to Motorola Razr i XT890 and Motorola Razr M XT905. Anyway, Motorola Razr i XT890 and Motorola Razr M XT905 have a lower display resolution when compare to the 720p of LG Nexus 4.

Exclusive: Acer To Launch Intel Powered Smartphone With Cloud Service By 2012

(GSM Insider) - When you think about Acer, it reminds you of laptop and tablet. Acer Iconia Tab tablet is one of the best selling tablet series in the market. However, sometimes Acer did release smartphone which is known as the CloudMobile series and the Liquid series. Things might change soon as Acer set to introduce "Intel Inside" smartphone.



Acer could become another phone maker to use Intel Atom processor after Lava of India, Orange of France, ZTE of China, Motorola of United States. This is confirms by the Acer VP Peter Shieh. According to Peter Shieh, Acer set to introduce new smartphones that powered by Intel Medfield processor and comes with Cloud Service.

In other words, the Intel powered Acer smartphone could be similar with the current Acer CloudMobile. Perhaps the main difference is the type of processor. The Android version in the smartphone might be the latest version as well. Acer is the first Taiwanese manufacturer to use Intel processor in its smartphone. 

In the past, Acer and Intel partnered for the laptop products so there are no problems when came into the mobile processor. The popularity of Intel Z2460 processor on the growth as more manufacturers interested in it.

Motorola RAZR i MT887 Gets Approval In China, Heading To China Mobile Soon

(GSM Insider) - Motorola RAZR i is a new smartphone that powered by Intel processor. It is the first ever Motorola smartphone with Intel Inside. The Motorola RAZR i is coming to China market after it gets approval from Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center which is similar with the FCC of the United States



The mode number of Motorola RAZR i heading to China is MT887. It supports TD-SCDMA network of China Mobile. Furthermore, there is a China Mobile logo at the back of the device. It can confirms that Motorola RAZR i MT887 is heading to China Mobile.

Motorola RAZR i MT887 is equips with a 2GHz Intel processor which is the world's fastest mobile processor. It has a 4.3 inches AMOLED display. The RAM memory of Motorola RAZR i MT887 is 2GB and it has a 2000mAh battery. Motorola RAZR i MT887 supports NFC features. The main camera is a 8 mega-pixel shooter while the front camera is 1.3 mega-pixel. The Android version is 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
