(GSM Insider) - Rumour: Intel Set To Introduce New Platform and Processors At MWC 2013

Intel might dominating the pc market but it is yet to make its own mark at the mobile device industry. With the rising of smartphone and tablet, Intel definitely set its sight on this mobile device industry. 


From what we've learnt from Chinese source, Intel set to introduce new smartphone platform and low power consumption Intel Atom processors that based on 22nm and 14nm at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona, Spain.

Orange, Lava, Motorola, ZTE and Lenovo are among the manufacturers that introduced smartphone running on Intel Medfield platform. But the sales are not impressive after all. 

There are news stated that Intel set to introduce low budget devices to China and India, but it is definitely going to face fierce competition from MediaTek. MediaTek is a Taiwanese chips maker.
