(GSM Insider) - First Android Tablet From HP Announced, Its Slate 7 With $169 Price Tag.

Recently, GSM Insider reported that HP was interested to the Android device. Finally, Hewlett-Packard officially announced its first ever Android tablet - HP Slate 7 at the Mobile World Congress 2013


HP is a newcomer of the Android world. It's HP Slate 7 tablet features a 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution. The HP Slate 7 is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. So, no Tegra 4 quad-core for HP Slate 7 tablet. The HP Slate 7 has 8GB of ROM on board and support MicroSD expansion.

HP Slate 7 running on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features Google Now. It is packed with 3-megapixels rear-facing camera and VGA quality front-facing camera. The HP Slate 7 tablet has 10.7mm body and weighted at 13.05oz

HP Slate 7 tablet is the first tablet with Beats Audio integration for maximum sound experience. HP isn't stranger with Beats Audio as some of its laptops have Beats Audio feature too. 

The main target of the HP Slate 7 tablet is the Nexus 7 from Google. The pricing of HP Slate 7 is competitive at $169 only. So you can expect the HP Slate 7 available on April 2013.
