Windows Store Has More Than 35,000 Apps To-Date

(GSM Insider) - Windows Store Has More Than 35,000 Windows 8 Apps To-Date

Since the launched of Windows 8, the apps at Windows Store experiencing stable growth. In the latest stats, Windows Store now has more than 35K of apps.


According to MetroScore Scanner, 14557 Windows 8 apps were added to the Windows Store. So the Windows Store now has 35,000 apps on board. With 22,000 apps are for American users.

Although the apps still far more lesser than Apple and Google, but the growth was impressive in the recent months. On October 30, 2012 when Microsoft launched the Windows 8, there were only 10,000 apps at Windows Store. After one week, another 13000 Windows 8 apps were added to Windows Store. 

At the moment, there are average of 415 new apps everyday added to Windows Store. So there will be 50,000 Windows 8 apps on February 2013 if everything goes on plan. However, Windows Store still do not have popular apps like Facebook and Twitter. 

Microsoft needs to work hard in order to offer more useful Windows 8 apps for users. App is one of the main reason that encourage Windows 7 users to update into the new system.
