CONFIRMED: No Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Update For Nexus S and Motorola Xoom

(GSM Insider) - The released of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update is not a good news for all Nexus users. It might be a good news for users of Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. But this is not a good news for Nexus S users.


The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is certainly not coming to the Samsung Nexus S and the Motorola Xoom tablet. Bad news bad news after all.

"There is no support for 4.2 on Nexus S and Xoom. Those devices should continue using 4.1.2. I can’t comment about the future of Nexus S and Xoom, sorry.” - Google's engineer Jean-Baptiste Queru

This is a bad news for those who hope to get the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to the Samsung Nexus S and Motorola Xoom. 

The Samsung Nexus S is the second Nexus smartphone from Google. As things stand now, the Samsung Nexus S and Motorola Xoom will continue using Android 4.1.2.
