(GSM Insider) - Earlier, Samsung announced the quad-core phablet -- Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (II). And now they announce another device - Samsung ATIV S that running on the Windows Phone 8 (WP8) operating system. This makes the Samsung ATIV S is the world's First Windows Phone 8 device. Its also the World's first dual-core Windows Phone 8 device. Two records set by Samsung.

It seems like Samsung going for everything to be the first ahead of everyone. And off course they succeeded this time as they announced the Samsung ATIV S ahead of the premium partner of Microsoft, Nokia

Here are some key specifications of Samsung ATIV S:

Display: 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED with a home button

Operating system: Windows Phone 8
Camera: 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera

From the design of Samsung ATIV S, it certainly looks like the Samsung Galaxy S3. From the round case and the shape are similar. But in the back, it comes with metal finished. And off course a Windows Phone logo at the back as well. Perhaps should said the World's first Windows Phone 8 device and World's first dual-core Windows Phone 8 device is a Samsung Galaxy S3 that running on the Windows Phone 8. Just Joking! Haha!
