The saga of the cheaper and smaller iPhone is very interesting. At first, there was report stated that Apple is working on the cheaper and smaller iPhone. Soon, another report denied it. Actually, no one can confirm about those rumours unless Apple itself, agree?

If the rumours about cheaper and smaller iPhone is true, then is it going to power by A6X processor from Apple? The answer is maybe not. 

According to the latest report from Forbes, it reported that the cheaper and smaller iPhone is going to power by Qualcomm's Snapdragon chip instead of its own Apple chip. 

Probably, Apple interested in the low-end Snapdragon dual-core processor for its upcoming low-budget iPhone. This is because Apple can save more costs in manufacturing its own processor. It is much easier and directly get the processor from Qualcomm for assembling. 

Qualcomm processor for iPhone Mini? Hmmm. Maybe. It could feature transparent back cover as well.

(GSM Insider) - Former CEO Advises Apple To Make Cheaper iPhone.

One thing for sure, the saga of "cheaper and smaller iPhone" will never stop until the arrival of next generation iPhone. 

Finally, former Apple CEO John Sculley gives his view on the cheaper iPhone. In the interview with Bloomberg, John states that it is a good idea for Apple to introduce cheaper iPhone in the future. This is because Apple needs to adapt to the changing world where there are smartphones as low as $100 while the iPhone is a few hundreds more expensive. 

John adds that the rivals already catch up on Apple recently in the smartphone market as the like of Samsung Galaxy S3 able to provide same quality like the iPhone. At the same time, Samsung also selling low budget smartphones. This is why Samsung is so dominates in the smartphone market.

After the iPad Mini, its time for the iPhone Mini. Seems like Apple is getting excited with smaller device. There are rumours stated that Apple preparing cheaper and smaller iPhone and there are also rumours stated that Apple not interested in this.

According to source Taiwan, the back cover of iPhone Mini is made from polycarbonate plastic material and it has metal made rim. This is kinda similar like the iPhone 3GS design. 

Furthermore, the back cover of iPhone Mini is having the transparent design. Users able to look inside the device and see the components. However, it is not fully transparent maybe 10% to 20% transparent only. 

The iPhone Mini is said to be around $99 to $149.
