According to source from China, Intel interested in the Smart TV market. The latest news suggests that Intel seeks partnership with Lenovo, HP, Compal and Ground Tech for Smart TVs.
The news added that Smart TV from Intel is not the combination between television and PC but the Smart TV is different from the current Smart TVs in the market.
The Smart TV from Intel going to have own user interface and supports voice differentiation, kinect feature and face recognition. This is definitely a new Smart TV in the market.
From these point of view, Intel is not looking in processor industry but interested to expand further. How far Intel can go, it depends on the development and R&D of the company.
