Coolpad is representing the China at the Mobile World Congress 2013. It is one of the many manufacturers from China that taking part in the event at Barcelona. Earlier, GSM Insider reported that Coolpad 9070 and Coolpad MAX 7295 were spotted. Another three devices were spotted as well.

Coolpad 5890 at MWC 2013

The first device is Coolpad 5890. It has a 4.5-inch qHD display. The processor is 1.2GHz while the RAM is 1GB. For the internal memory, Coolpad 5890 has 4GB. This Coolpad 5890 packs with 5-megapixels main camera and a VGA camera on the front. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features a 1700mAh battery. Coolpad 5890 is exclusively for China Telecom.

Coolpad 7268 at MWC 2013

It is the Coolpad 7268 on image above. Coolpad 7268 has a 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, a 5-megapixels of rear-facing camera, a VGA front facing camera and a 1700mAh battery.

The third device is Coolpad 8730. It has a 5-inch 720p HD display and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. The Coolpad 8730 is exclusively available at China Mobile only.

At the CES 2013, Coolpad unveils four new quad-core smartphones. This is the first time those devices appeared at international event. Those four smartphones include Coolpad 9960 (image above), Coolpad 8730, Coolpad 5890 and Coolpad 7295. The Coolpad 5890 is the one exclusively available at China Telecom.

Besides the four smartphones, Coolpad unveils Coolpad Quattro and a mysterious 5.7-inch phablet as well. The Coolpad Quattro is arriving at MetroPCS soon with 4G LTE connectivity.

The Coolpad 9960 and Coolpad 8730 were launched in the Chinese market. But those are yet available in global market. Perhaps Coolpad has the plans in bringing its devices to more countries soon.

Apple No Longer Top 5 Smartphone Makers In China

(GSM Insider) - When you said about iPad and iPhone, both are getting high and impressive sales in most of the countries in the world. So how popular the Apple in the world's largest smartphone market?

The Apple is not as popular as you might think in China. Some unknown brand is even better than the Cupertino based company. Samsung remains at the top of the list, followed by Lenovo, Coolpad, ZTE and Huawei. Surprisingly, the Huawei is on the fifth position which is lower than rival ZTE. 

The biggest surprise is the Coolpad on third position. Most of you hardly heard this Chinese brand before as its devices are seldom on sales in overseas. Only a few of Coolpad devices are successfully on sales in the United States. 

One of the main reasons is the Chinese always seek for budget and affordable smartphone. They never emphasized on the branded device. Some Chinese smartphone can go for as low as $99, while the price of iPhone 5 is high at $730. Just compare the price margin then it is easy to understand the demand of Chinese.

Coolpad 9960 Gets Approval, Comes With Tegra 3 Quad-Core and 13 MP Camera

(GSM Insider) - Coolpad 9960 smartphone has arrives at the Chinese Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center. The Coolpad 9960 handset has leaks for the first time. Since it gets approval, it is not far away from the launch.

At the moment, there are many quad-core smartphones in the market like HTC One X+, Samsung Galaxy S III and LG Optimus G. As one of the leading phone maker in China, Coolpad does not have any quad-core smartphone yet. But thing will change soon when this new smartphone get into the market. 

The Coolpad 9960 is a quad-core smartphone. It powered by 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor. This processor is similar with the processor found on the HTC One X. The RAM memory is 1GB while it has a very high 13 mega-pixel shooter. Although it has no side view, but it said to come with a thin body. The Android version is said to be at least 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

China Mobile And Coolpad Unveil Four New TD-SCDMA Smartphones

(GSM Insider) - Yesterday, China Mobile and Coolpad joined hands in an event in China. At the event, both companies unveiled four new Android smartphones. All four smartphones support China Mobile's TD-SCDMA network.

Four new Coolpad smartphones include Coolpad 8190, Coolpad 8150D, Coolpad 8060 and Coolpad 8050. 

Coolpad 8190

Coolpad 8190 is the most high end among four smartphones. The display is made from IPS. The size is 4.5 inches with 960 x 540 resolution. The processor is 1.2GHz Cortex A9 dual-core. It supports HD video. Furthermore, the camera is 5 mega-pixels shooter. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This thickness of Coolpad 8190 only 8.9mm. 

Coolpad 8150D

Coolpad 8150D also comes with 1.2GHz dual-core processor like the Coolpad 8190. The screen size of Coolpad 8150D is 4.0 inches. The resolution is VGA. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Coolpad 8060

Coolpad 8060 comes with more features from Coolpad like the cloud storage. From the specs, it comes with a 4.0 inches VGA display that similar with Coolpad 8150D. The processor is 806Mz single core. The camera is 3 mega-pixels shooter. 

Coolpad 8050

The last one is the Coolpad 8050. It is the low end compare to other three devices. Coolpad 8050 comes with a 3.5 inches display. The processor is 1GHz single-core.

Coolpad 5880 also is a new smartphone that heading to China Telecom. Coolpad 5880 comes with 4 inch display, Cortex A8 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. The camera is 5-megapixel. It supports EVDO+GSM dual-SIM and dual standby mode. The thickness of Coolpad 5880 is only 9.8mm.
