(GSM Insider) - Windows Phone Is The Fastest Growing Mobile OS in The Year 2012 With 289%, Followed By Android and iOS
This news is definitely morale boosting for Microsoft and Nokia. In the latest analyse, Windows Phone is the fastest growing mobile operating system for the year 2012.
According to the numbers posted by WMP, the Windows Phone indeed is the fastest growing mobile OS with 289% of growth. The second fastest growing Mobile OS in 2012 is Android with 52% followed by Apple owned iOS with 16% of growth in the year 2012.
However, another three mobile OSs on the declining are Symbian, Bada and BlackBerry OS. Since Nokia chose the Windows Phone, Symbian already on the declining as the same goes to Bada. However, things might change at the camp of BlackBerry after the launch of BlackBerry 10 later this month.
No matter Android, Windows Phone or iOS, devices of these three operating systems were ranked among GSM Insider's Top 10 Best Smartphones in 2012. Check out the listing here.
