(GSM Insider) - Samsung Manufactured More Than 300 Million AMOLED Display Panel To-Date.
Six years ago, Samsung announced the AMOLED display panel. It was the first time AMOLED being introduced to the world. At that time, Apple did unveil the first ever iPhone to the world. The iPhone and the AMOLED display panel had changed the world since then.
Today, after six years, Samsung announces that it has manufactured more than 300 million AMOLED display panels. Samsung took nearly five years manufactured the first 100 million AMOLED display panels, the second 100 million took 11 months while the third 100 million took only 7 months.
The third 100 million took only 7 months thanked to the impressive sales of Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. This is why the numbers increased so fast at only 7 months.
The AMOLED display panel might not impress as the IPS display panel. But it doesn't affect the truth that most of the Samsung devices are using the AMOLED display panel. Not so good, but many people still buying it. Right?
