After the launched of Huawei Ascend Mate at the CES 2013, it clearly blurs the phablet definition and tablet definition. Since this Ascend Mate is yet to reach 7-inch, it is considers as phablet.
Having a 6.1-inch large display, the Huawei Ascend Mate indeed looks bulky. It is not suitable for female when female has smaller hands compare to male. This 6.1-inch phablet will not fits into pocket for sure. Never try this or else you will break the device or break you pant!
There are volume and camera button on the side of the Huawei Ascend Mate. There are micro-USB port, 3.5mm audio jack port and micro-SD slot on top and bottom of the device separately. The back design of Huawei Ascend Mate is similar like the Huawei Ascend D2 that having the curve design.
The specs of Huawei Ascend Mate are disappointed after it was unveiled. Huawei Ascend Mate comes with 6.1-inch 720p Full HD display, 1.5GHz Hi-Silicon K3V2 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 13-megapixels camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is hard to understand why it does not come with 1080p Full HD display and no 2GB of RAM.
