(GSM Insider) - ZTE U887 Gets Approval In China, The Cheapest 5-inch Phablet To Date
Seems like not every 5-inch device that coming soon packs with 1080p Full HD Display and quad-core processor. ZTE certainly enter the 5-inch device market as well. But with the low-end device.
ZTE U887 is the latest device that approved by Chinese authorities. In other words, the ZTE U887 cleared the hurdle and ready for announcement anytime soon. From the image below, ZTE U887 is heading to China Mobile as there is a TD-SCDMA 3G logo on top right corner.
ZTE U887 has a 5-inch display but only 800 x 480 resolution. Its dimension is 147 x 78.2 x 9.9mm. ZTE U887 powered by 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6577 dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM. Other specs included 4GB of internal memory, 2000mAh of battery and 5-megapixels.
It has no quad-core processor, no 2GB of RAM and no large internal memory. The size is large but the inside is low end specs. Perhaps this is the way for ZTE to low down the price and let it remains affordable.
