(GSM Insider) - Sony Working On Four New Devices - Xperia 4, Xperia 5, Xperia 5R and Xperia 6
At the moment, Sony is yet to introduce any quad-core smartphone to its Xperia line. Lack of quad-core smartphones is one of the main reason why Sony unable to compete with other leading smartphone makers. However, things might change very soon.
According to latest rumours, it is said that Sony working on four new smartphones. The possible names of the four smartphones are Sony Xperia 4, Sony Xperia 5, Sony Xperia 5R and Sony Xperia 6.
Sony Xperia 4 is a 4-inch smartphone with 720p resolution and Snapdragon S4 MSM8960T dual-core processor. Other specs included 12-megapixels, 16GB internal memory and 1800mAh battery.
Sony Xperia 5 and Xperia 5R are 5-inch display smartphone with 1080p resolution. The processor is Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core with 2GB of RAM. It supports 4G LTE network. Sony Xperia 5 comes with 2400mAh battery and the Xperia 5R comes with larger capacity battery.
Last but not least is the Sony Xperia 6. It is a BEAST with 6-inch display which is targeting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The resolution as high as 1080p with 3GB of RAM as well.
But dont forget there are two new devices that coming from Sony - Sony Yuga and Sony Odin. There are doubts whether Sony going to release six new devices at total. There are chances that Sony Yuga and Sony Odin are two of the four devices.
