(GSM Insider) - In the past few days, Olympics winner Ye Shi Wen and other Huawei exec updated the status at their Weibo account with the "Mysterious Huawei Phone". Huawei Ascend Mate pop up no longer after this "mysterious Huawei phone" spotted by the followers of Weibo. And now, seems like the "mysterious Huawei phone" is the Huawei Honor 2 instead of the much fake Huawei Ascend Mate.
So how the "mysterious Huawei phone" becomes Huawei Honor 2 instead of Huawei Ascend Mate? Here's the answer.
Huawei CEO Richard Yu Chengdong updated his status with the "mysterious Huawei phone" in the past few weeks. After than, the "mysterious Huawei phone" no longer available recently as it replaces by the "Huawei Quad-Core device". In other words, the "mysterious Huawei phone" used by Huawei CEO replaced by the "Huawei Quad-Core" device. So what is the quad-core device from Huawei?
The Huawei quad-core device is said to be the Huawei Honor 2. If according to the survey conducted by Huawei, the possible specs of Huawei Honor 2 can be predicted as well. The processor is at least 1.2GHz quad-core, the standby time is up to 48 hours, the RAM memory is 2GB, camera quality is 8 mega-pixel and the screen will be 4.5 inches and above.
According to our friend from China, it stated that Huawei Honor 2 set to come with K3V2 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 4.5 inches IPS display with 720p resolution and the camera is 8 mega-pixel shooter. To make it better, the Huawei Honor 2 comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and Emotion UI. It remains unknown whether Huawei Honor 2 will available in dual-SIM or not.
In order to compete with XiaoMi Mi 2, the Huawei Honor 2 could price at RMB $1999. The launch date of Huawei Honor 2 said to be on 29 October 2012 which is a day before the launch of XiaoMi Mi 2. Ints an interesting week ahead.
