(GSM Insider) - Earlier today, Japanese carrier KDDI announced two new smartphones - LG Optimus G and Sony Xperia VL. Both smartphone are heading to the Japanese market. LG Optimus G is similar with the global version of LG Optimus G while the Sony Xperia VL is the Sony Xperia V variant for Japanese market.

Both LG Optimus G LGL21 and Sony Xperia VL SOL21 are LTE enabled. Both are compatible with the LTE network of KDDI in Japan. The LG Optimus G LGL21 remains the same in overall specs like the global version. But the Sony Xperia VL is slightly different with the Sony Xperia V as it has LTE-enabled and NFC supports.
