If you are about to purchase LG Nexus 4, just go ahead. Because the news below just a rumour and it will not affect your decision to purchase LG Nexus 4.  

A mysterious LG device with the number of LG E980 just receives Bluetooth Certification. You may ask, what so special about this LG E980? 

The current LG Nexus 4 having the model number of LG E960. This shows that the LG E980 having certain relationship with the LG Nexus 4. The most important thing which is this LG E980 is LTE-enabled. This could be the LG Nexus 4 LTE.

On the other hand, the mysterious LG E980 also can be the LG Optimus G2. But the current LG Optimus G having the model number of LG LS970. Seems like both are not link at all.

Another possible reason is this LG E980 is the Nexus 5. However, it seems a little earlier for the appearance of the Nexus 5.

No Nexus 4 Supply Issue and No Nexus 5 As Well, Says LG Official

(GSM Insider) - No Nexus 4 Supply Issue and No Nexus 5 As Well, Says LG Official .

In the past few days, there were many rumours that related to LG surfaced. First, there were rumours stated that LG plans to stop the production of the Nexus 4 for new Nexus device. Secondly, the possible specs on the upcoming Nexus 5 surfaced


According to Chosun Ilbo, LG has no problem with the Nexus 4 production. The LG official from Korea added that the production of Nexus 4 going on as planned.

Its kinda confusing as well. While LG official says that no problem on the Nexus 4, Google said LG facing the production issue due to the huge demand of Nexus 4. It is hard to determine on who is lying and who doesn't. Perhaps it is good trusting on the Google

The LG official also denies that next-gen Nexus on the way from the Korean company. He stated that the claims are unfounded. 

Even LG already started the production of the Nexus 5, no body will admit it until Google officially launch it. Furthermore, it is still early for the appearance of Nexus 5. 

GSM Insider revealed that Nexus 5 could featured 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, Tegra 4 quad-core, 2GB of RAM and 13-megapixels of camera. GSM Insider predicts that the LG will unveil the LG Optimus G2 earlier than the Nexus 5. 

Nexus 4 was ranked as GSM Insider's Best Smartphone of the year 2013. Furthermore, this device already received Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in some regions.

(GSM Insider) - Possible Specs of Upcoming Nexus 5 and Nexus 7.7 Leaks, Powered By Tegra 4?

LG Nexus 4 is probably the best selling Nexus device to-date ahead of the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. The sales of this device were impressive since its first day on sale. However, there are rumours stated that the production of LG Nexus 4 already stopped as the successor is on the way.



According to news from Korean, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7.7 are said on the working process. The Nexus 5 is the successor from LG while the Nexus 7.7 is the successor of Nexus 7. The manufacturer of Nexus 5 remains as LG while Asus manufacturing the Nexus 7.7.

Korean sources stated that LG Nexus 5 is packs with 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, A15 architecture Tegra 4 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixels of rear-facing camera and 3-megapixels of front facing camera. The LG Nexus 5 is probably running on Android 4.3 or Android 5.0. Jelly Bean or Key Lime Pie? 

Another device that coming soon is the Nexus 7.7. It is the successor of the Nexus 7 from Asus. It packs with larger 7.7-inch display with 1080p full HD display, Tegra 4 quad-core and 2GB of RAM. Android 4.3 and Android 5.0 are the favourites for the operating system of Nexus 7.7.

Google is said to price the LG Nexus 5 at the price tag of $299. However, it remains unknown whether LG Nexus 4 will available in larger internal memory then 16GB. Nexus 7.7 will be priced at around $299 as well. 

Both Nexus 5 and Nexus 7.7 set for debut at the Google I/O on May 15 to May 17, 2013. 

LG Nexus 4 is GSM Insider Best Smartphone of the year 2012 while it made appearance at the CES 2013 as well.

LG To Stop Nexus 4 Production For Optimus G2 and Nexus 5?

(GSM Insider) - LG To Stop Nexus 4 Production For Optimus G2 and Nexus 5?

At the CES 2013, LG did showed off its current flagship LG Optimus G and LG Nexus 4. The sales of LG Nexus 4 was impressive and red hot since its was launched. 


The latest rumours stated that LG already preparing to stop the production of LG Nexus 4. The shortage of LG Nexus 4 clearly showed the inability of LG in mass production. Seems like LG knew about its own weakness and planning for other alternatives.

The other alternatives simply means other devices. At the CES 2013, LG stated that more Nexus devices are coming from the Korean company. Perhaps, LG already preparing the Nexus 5 and LG Optimus G2

On the other hand, LG Nexus 4 and LG Optimus G still not launch in many countries. It is hard to trust whether LG will stop the production for both of these devices and make way for the new successors. GSM Insider will update you once the information available.
