(GSM Insider) - Coolpad Unveils More Than Six New Smartphones At CES 2013, One of Them Is Coolpad Quattro 4G LTE.

Coolpad might not popular outside China, but its popularity in domestic market is as high as the Samsung and Apple. Coolpad is one of the manufacturers that taking part at the CES 2013.


At the CES 2013, Coolpad unveils four new quad-core smartphones. This is the first time those devices appeared at international event. Those four smartphones include Coolpad 9960 (image above), Coolpad 8730, Coolpad 5890 and Coolpad 7295. The Coolpad 5890 is the one exclusively available at China Telecom.

Besides the four smartphones, Coolpad unveils Coolpad Quattro and a mysterious 5.7-inch phablet as well. The Coolpad Quattro is arriving at MetroPCS soon with 4G LTE connectivity.

The Coolpad 9960 and Coolpad 8730 were launched in the Chinese market. But those are yet available in global market. Perhaps Coolpad has the plans in bringing its devices to more countries soon.

Earlier just now, US carrier MetroPCS officially announced its latest device which is known as the ZTE Avid 4G. From the name, it can easily known that this device comes with 4G LTE connectivity. ZTE Avid 4G is a full touch screen smartphone.


ZTE Avid 4G has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch display, 5-megapixels camera, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and 4G LTE compatible. One thing interesting on this ZTE Avid 4G is the price. It is available for purchase at only $150 at MetroPCS.

Mysterious LG MS870 Handset Leaked, Compare Side-to-side With Galaxy S3

(GSM Insider) - Another LG device leaked this time, seems like LG is going big in the near future. The latest smartphone leaked is the LG MS870.


LG MS870 already spotted at FCC document. So it already received approval and ready to release in coming weeks. From the image, the LG MS870 looks almost same size with the Samsung Galaxy S3 but the display is smaller. 

The LG MS870 packed with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 4.5 inch of display, Android 4.0.4 ICS and supports 4G LTE network.

LG MS870 is for MetroPCS while LG LW870 heading to Cricket. Both are the same device just it supports different network.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Announced by MetroPCS, Price And Release Date Unknown

(GSM Insider) - The world is buzzing around with the arrival of Samsung Galaxy Note 2. MetroPCS just announced a rather "old" smartphone -- Samsung Galaxy S3 (S III). This device already available worldwide at the moment. This is rather a slower move from MetroPCS. 




The specs of MetroPCS Galaxy Note are similar with Galaxy S3 of other carriers. It comes with 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core, 2GB of RAM memory, 8MP main camera, 1.9MP front camera, 2100mAh and Android 4.0. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update coming soon as well. 

At the moment, no price or release date available yet. MetroPCS offers a free Samsung Galaxy S3 for those who registered themselves to the new device. So you might interested in it and hit the source link after this.

(GSM Insider) - Today, US carrier MetroPCS announces another smartphone -- Coolpad Quattro 4G. This Android smartphone coming with the price of $150.

The Coolpad Quattro 4G running on 1GHz processor, with 4 inch display, 3.2MP rear camera, 4G LTE enabled and the older version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. From the price of $150, it is hard to expect the device to run on 4.0 ICS.

LG Motion 4G For MetroPCS Handset Leaked In Images, Specs And Price Detailed




(GSM Insider) - In the early of July, there are rumours stated that LG Mobile and MetroPCS joined hands to launch a new smartphone - LG Motion 4G LTE smartphone. And now, the handset of LG Motion 4G leaked and some information get detailed as well.

From the leaked images, LG Motion 4G is a touchscreen smartphone. It set to come with 3.5 inch touchscreen display, 5MP rear camera and running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The processor of LG Motion 4G is the 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor. This is a powerful processor that certainly will enhanced the performance of LG Motion 4G. 

Recently, MetroPCS becomes the world's first carrier to launch the VoLTE service ahead of SK Telecom from the Korea. And this LG Motion 4G smartphone is compatible with the MetroPCS's LTE network.

MetroPCS Announced LG Connect 4G Smartphone - First VoLTE Enable Handset



(GSM Insider) - Yo. MetroPCS customers, are you ready for the Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services? Yes. Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services just officially launched by MetroPCS. In the same time, MetroPCS also announced the first Voice over LTE (VoLTE) compatible handset - the LG Connect 4G smartphone.

MetroPCS Launched Voice over LTE (VoLTE), One Day Ahead of Korea's SK Telecom



(GSM Insider) - Today, MetroPCS announced Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services in the United States. This Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services would be the World's first Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services. Although Metro PCS aren't the largest carrier, but they certainly beat the SK Telecom from Korea as the World's first Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services. MetroPCS also says that its first VoLTE-compatible device was sold at the one of its Dallas stores. 

Traditional voice calls use GSM and CDMA technology, while the Voice over LTE (VoLTE) uses packet switching technology. MetroPCS users, are you ready for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services?
