(GSM Insider) - Done And Dusted. Huawei Ascend P2 And Huawei Ascend W2 Launching At MWC 2013.

Yeah! Its done and dusted. The upcoming new devices from the Chinese company, Huawei are the Huawei Ascend P2 and Huawei Ascend W2. To remind you that the Huawei unveiled the Huawei Ascend D2, Huawei Ascend Mate and Huawei Ascend W1 at the CES 2013 on January last month. 


The Huawei Ascend P2 is said to be the world's thinnest smartphone with ultra thin body. The thickness of Huawei Ascend P2 should be under 6.5mm. Huawei Ascend P2 is truly a smartphone with its 4.7-inch display. The Huawei Ascend D2 (5-inch) and Huawei Ascend Mate (6.3-inch) are under the phablet category after all. 

Huawei Ascend P2 is powered by the Hisilicon K3V3 processor. The HisiliconK3V3 set for launch at the Mobile World Congress 2013 as well. Huawei Ascend P2 will come in two different versions. One with the 1GB of RAM while another with 2GB of RAM. The Huawei Ascend P2 is running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features 2200mAh battery. 

Huawei Ascend W2 is the second Windows Phone 8 device from the Chinese company. The Huawei Ascend W2 isn't same level with the Huawei Ascend W1. The Huawei Ascend W2 is set to compete with the Nokia Lumia 920 in the high end Windows Phone market. 

Huawei Ascend W2 is set to become the world's thinnest Windows Phone with its 7.7mm body. So the Windows Phone set to leave the tag of "bulky" phone. The display of Huawei Ascend W2 is 4.5-inch and the resolution is 720p HD. The Huawei Ascend W2 is powered by the Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor as well as 1GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. The rear-facing camera is 8-megapixels. Huawei Ascend W2 features wireless charging and a 2800mAh battery.

(GSM Insider) - High End Windows Phone 8, Huawei Ascend W2 Launch At MWC 2013 Looks Imminent.

The Huawei Windows Phone is like soap opera. Earlier last year, there were rumours stated that Huawei set to introduce a few Windows Phone 8 devices include the Huawei Ascend W1, Huawei Ascend W2 and Huawei Ascend W3. At the end, only Huawei Ascend W1 that launched at the CES 2013 last week. So what happened to others?


Huawei Ascend W2 is said to be on its way to the MWC 2013. Back in the October last year, GSM Insider revealed a mysterious Huawei Windows Phone 8 device and it is said to be the Huawei Ascend W2. 

Source from China revealed more information about the Huawei Ascend W2. Huawei Ascend W2 is said to feature 7.7mm of body. From the leaked images, the device indeed looks like having 7.7mm body.

The display size of Huawei Ascend W2 is 4.5-inch which is similar like the Nokia Lumia 920. The display resolution is 720p HD. Huawei Ascend W2 packs with Snapdragon S4 dual-core, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 8-megapixels and 2800mAh battery. 

Huawei Ascend W2 is said to feature wireless charging as well. Huawei Ascend W2 is will be the high end device which is opposite to Huawei Ascend W1.

Mysterious Windows Phone Device Spotted In Wild, Is It Huawei Ascend W2?

(GSM Insider) - Huawei is one of the first batch manufacturers that produce Windows Phone 8 device. In the past, Huawei Ascend W1 is the only Windows Phone device from Huawei that leaked out. However, another mysterious Windows Phone device spotted in the wild. It is tipped to be another Huawei brand Windows Phone 8 device with the name of Huawei Ascend W2.

From the design of this mysterious Windows Phone device that leaked, it looks similar with the Huawei Ascend P1. However, it has three touchscreen buttons in front which is similar like other Windows Phone device. These buttons are return button, menu button and search button. Windows Phone logo spotted at the back casing of the device as well. The rear camera does come with LED flash. 


There are no information on this mysterious device. It is believes that this Huawei Ascend W2 runs on Windows Phone 8 operating system. Since Nokia, HTC and Samsung already announced their own flagships, it is logic that this is the upcoming Huawei WP8 device. However, there are no confirmation yet on this mysterious device yet.
