Dell Project Ophelia Is About Android Powered Mini PC

(GSM Insider) - Dell Project Ophelia Is About Android Powered Mini PC.

A few months ago, Dell quitted the Android smartphone market after found out that it was hard to gain profits from it. Therefore, Dell shifted its attention to the Windows 8 powered tablets. But the latest rumour suggests that Dell still interested in Android.

According to rumours, Dell is working on a mini PC that powered by Android. It is known as the Project Ophelia. The price of the Android Mini PC will cost around $50 to $99. The length of the mini PC is 3.5-inch while it has 1.5-inch wide.

The mini PC is said to run on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean together with 8GB of ROM. It supports up to 32GB of micro SD. Since this mini PC is in connection with the television, it is going to feature an HDMI port as well. Mouse and keyboard can be plugged in to the Mini PC for usage as it features a USB port.

At the moment, neither Dell nor any party that able to confirm about this Project Ophelia.

Switch To Windows 8 Now As Microsoft To Kill Off Windows XP In Less Than 500 Days

(GSM Insider) Although there are new Windows that available in the market, Windows XP still operates in more than 50% of computers around the world. Seems like the people still heavily rely on the Windows XP in their daily life. 


The bad news arrived! Microsoft will kill off the Windows XP in 499 days. In order words, Microsoft no longer supports the Windows XP and will not develop more firmwares or updates for this operating system. 

Microsoft will stop support Windows XP on April 8th, 2014. After than, Windows XP will get into the history book. However, you can continue to use the Windows XP after 500 days because Microsoft no longer supports but it is still workable. 

GSM Insider advice you to change to new Windows in order to receive updates from Microsoft. Windows XP that no longer supported by Microsoft is similar with those pirated in the market. Your personal data or photos might leaked to internet anytime. PLEASE PURCHASE ONLY ORIGINAL WINDOWS SOFTWARE.

Acer Founder: No Merging Plan for Both Asus And Acer At The Moment





(GSM Insider) - There are rumours said that Asus and Acer plan to merge in order to make them competitive in the PC market. And now, Acer founder Stan Shih quashed the rumours. 

According to Stan Shih, both Acer and Asus dont have the plan of merging. He added that there are more companies that will quit the PC market in long term. But mostly happen on HP or Dell in the future. 

Stan Shih said that the profits of PC market are not as high as the gadget market. The American already accepted that the PC market already on the declining level and they are ready to quit the market. Just like IBM sold their PC department to Chinese Lenovo. In opposite, Asian do not quit the market just like American as they have the love on the market where their companies started with. 

Although Stan Shih said there are no plan from both parties at the moment. But there are still possibilities for both companies to merge in order to become competitive in the market.  [Source]
