Sony C660X 'Yuga' Benchmark Leaks, Could Be Running On 1.5GHz Quad-Core

(GSM Insider) - Last week we reported that Sony set to introduce its first quad-core smartphone which is known as 'Odin'. Seems like Sony is not preparing only one quad-core smartphone but more then one. The latest to leak is the Sony smartphone which is known as the 'Yuga'.

'Yuga' is just a codename for the upcoming smartphone from Sony Mobile. Sony 'Yuga' even appears at the benchmark result. From the benchmark result, it is shows that the model of Sony 'Yuga' is C6603. But we prefer to call it C660X because of the digit 3 is represents region. So different regions have different digit.

At the benchmark result, Sony C660X 'Yuga' running on a 1.5GHz processor. Sony C660X 'Yuga' managed to score 11321 points at the benchmark while the Sony Xperia T that powered by dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus managed to scored 8270 points and the LG Optimus G that powered by quad-core Snapdragon S4 PRO managed to scored 13643 points. From this, we can clearly analysed that the Sony C660X 'Yuga' is nearer to the Snapdragon S4 Pro. In other words, Sony C660X 'Yuga' could have a quad-core processor. Furthermore, it does not state the Android version of Sony C660X 'Yuga'. We expect it is running with 4.1 Jelly Bean

From the possible quad-core processor, it is very likely that Sony C660X 'Yuga' powered by the Snapdragon S4 PRO APQ8064 which is very common. Asus Padfone 2, LG Optimus G and XiaoMi Phone 2 powered by this processor as well. Perhaps the points are lower due to the device still at testing level. We can confirm more to come soon. Stay tune.  [Ameblo.jp]

Samsung GT-I9105 Spotted In AnTuTu Benchmark, Could Be The "Galaxy S II Plus"

(GSM Insider) - While Samsung is busy preparing for the launch of Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini tomorrow, another new device spotted in the benchmark - Samsung GT-I9105. There are no official name yet on this new smartphone.

From the model number of GT-I9105, we can predict that it has the relationship with the Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100. Just like the original Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with the model number of GT-I9300 while the Galaxy S3 LTE comes with model number of GT-I9305.

This Samsung GT-I9105 could be the much rumours Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus, an upgrade version of the older Samsung Galaxy S2. From the benchmark, it shows that Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105 runs on Android 4.0.4 version. The processor is a 1.5GHz processor. The processor could be the dual-core processor.

However, there are doubts that Samsung going to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus together with Galaxy S3 Mini. But dont surprise too if Samsung did so.  [RBmen Japan]

"Occam" With Android 4.2 Spotted At Benchmark, Is It The Motorola Nexus?

(GSM Insider) - There are rumours suggested that Google set to allow more than one manufacturers to produce the fourth generation Nexus smartphone. Previously, HTC built the first Nexus, HTC Nexus One. Samsung built Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus. So it is the time for fourth Nexus smartphone.

Last week, there are rumours stated that LG and Google set up partnership to introduce the Nexus smartphone. However, there are doubts that whether LG is the sole manufacturer or just one of the many manufacturers.

There are two devices spotted at the AnTuTu benchmark that are known as "Occam" and "Manta". Occam runs on Android 4.2 while Manta runs on Jelly Bean. The processors between both are slightly different. Occam powered by 1.5GHz processor while the Manta powered by 1.7GHz processor. However, the locations are different as well. Manta is located in the United States while the Occam located at Belgium

According to tipster, both these devices are the codenames for new Motorola smartphones. From the Android version, there is high percentage that the Occam could be the Nexus from Motorola. However, the performance of Manta is far more better than than Occam although the Android version is older version.

If it is true that Motorola are preparing for their own Nexus, then it is the first Nexus from Motorola under the guidance of Google. Perhaps it is named as Motorola Droid Nexus or Motorola Razr Nexus. Are you ready for Nexus with Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie?
