(GSM Insider) - Huawei Ascend P2 Handset Leaks, Gets Hands-On Too.
Huawei Ascend P2 is the most anticipated device for the Mobile World Congress 2013. After the launched of Huawei Ascend Mate and Huawei Ascend D2, the attention is now on the Huawei Ascend P2. It is said to be the world's thinnest smartphone.
With roughly three weeks to go before the Mobile World Congress 2013, the first handset of Huawei Ascend P2 was leaked in China. The two images above showed the Huawei Ascend P2 handset.
From the overall front and the back look of the Huawei Ascend P2 handset that was leaked indeed looking like the press image that leaked before. The camera and LED flash on the back of the Huawei Ascend P2 handset are similar position with the press image too.
The design of Huawei Ascend P2 is the combination of both Huawei Ascend P1 and Huawei Ascend W1. The leaked Huawei Ascend P2 handset did not reveal whether the it features physical menu button or touch menu button. Perhaps it will similarly like Huawei Ascend D2.
The Huawei Ascend P2 handset didn't reveal much about the specs as it only gets hands-on. But the possible specs of Huawei Ascend P2 were leaked a few times before.
Huawei Ascend P2 is said to feature a 4.7-inch display with 1080p Full HD resolution. Both Huawei Ascend P2 and HTC M7 are set to become the Smartphone with the highest pixel per inch resolution.
Huawei Ascend P2 will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and Emotion UI 1.5. There will be two different versions - 1GB and 2GB RAM. The Huawei Ascend P2 features 1GB of RAM will be better for those daily users while the 2GB version is more suitable for multitasking usage.
There are rumors stated that the Huawei Ascend P2 is set to feature Hisilicon K3V3 quad-core processor, but this is unlikely to happen. The next-Gen processor from Huawei is yet to launch. So the processor of Huawei Ascend P2 will be the 1.8GHz Hisilicon K3V2 quad-core which is same like Huawei Ascend D2 and Huawei Ascend Mate.
There will be improvement in the camera of Huawei Ascend P2 compares to Huawei Ascend P1. The front camera is 1.3-megapixel while the main camera is a 13-megapixels with LED Flash. The main camera supports auto-focus, 1080p Full HD recording and HDR.
The price of Huawei Ascend P2 should be around RMB $3000 or $481.
