Sony Set To Introduce Xperia Smartphones With MediaTek MT6589 Quad-Core Processor

(GSM Insider) - At the moment, there are no Sony brand smartphone with quad-core processor yet. But seems like there are more quad-core smartphones coming from Sony soon.


There are two upcoming Sony flagships with the name of Sony Odin and Sony Yuga. Both were said to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 quad-core processor. Seems like Sony not going to stop with two quad-core smartphones only.

The latest rumours suggested that Sony going to introduce more quad-core smartphone with budget price. Those smartphones are going to feature MediaTek MT6589. This is the latest quad-core smartphone that set to unveil by Taiwanese company MediaTek on December 12th, 2012. 

It was said that Sony already received the sample from MediaTek on the MT6589 and impressed with it. The most important is it is a budget but powerful processor.
