LG Nexus 4 Launch Showed The Failure of Google Play Store To Handle Huge Traffic

(GSM Insider) - You might not be the first to angry and also the last to angry. We are sure there are thousands of Android fans are fed up and angry with the Play Store. Is there anyone successfully purchased a LG Nexus 4? Maybe no.

First of all, we received so many news that the LG Nexus 4 sold out in the Australia at first. Then sold out in European countries and the latest was sold out in the United States. Is the LG Nexus 4 so popular? Yes. It is popular. But whether many purchased it? We doubted.

First of all, the experience with Play Store was bad. After you entered the Play Store, when you refreshed on the LG Nexus 4 page, sometimes it showed "Add to cart" and sometimes it showed "Notify Me".

Soon, after you successfully added to cart, it showed that your order is not successful and need to restart again. After tested for a few times, the LG Nexus 4 completely removed from the Play Store and the status remained at "Notify me" since then.

So, we really doubted on the capability of Play Store server. How many people really purchased the LG Nexus 4? Maybe non of us successful.

According to our friend at Phonearena, they successfully reached to Google Play Telephone Support Line. After more than 15 minutes of waiting, finally a representative answered the call.

The rep stated that the servers of the Google Play Store had crashed due to large amount of traffic. From this point of view, you no need to doubt on the popularity of LG Nexus 4. But how Google going to handle this?

You might asked, why Google never prepare more servers as you might expected large crowds after all. If you are not prepare with it. Dont release it yet. It is interesting to see how Google handle this issue in the coming days.
