The Battery Life of LG Nexus 4 Isn't Impressive After All

(GSM Insider) - We knew that Google introduced the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean that emphasized on the improvement of battery life for Android device. Is Google really tweaked and improved in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean? Seems like nothing much improved.

From the benchmark result, it clearly showed the battery life of LG Nexus 4 is a disappointment. When LG Nexus 4 is on WiFi mode, the web browsing battery life only as short as 6.27 hours. It is hard to compete with iPhone 5 that has 10.27 hours. The web browsing battery life on WiFi mode is just as short as the Samsung Galaxy S3. This showed that both devices are powerful but the battery issues are yet to solve after all.

The battery life of LG Nexus 4 is even worst when on 3G / 4G LTE mode. LG Nexus 4 only capable of 4.18 hours of web browsing with 3G / 4G LTE connectivity. There are more than 10 devices in the market that performed better than the LG Nexus 4. The most impressive was the iPhone 5 with 8.19 hours when web browsing with LTE connectivity. It is another disappointment for LG Nexus 4 that comes with just 3G and not 4G LTE.

As a conclusion, the battery issue is yet to solve by Google on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Perhaps Google need to work on some tiny updates for the LG Nexus 4 at the moment. We dont want short battery life for the fourth Nexus smartphone.
