(GSM Insider) - Huawei is trying to hold of ZTE for the competition in China and poised serious challenge for other manufacturers. The only way for Huawei to remain competitive is to introduce new smartphones that able to attract consumer.
According to latest tips from China, Huawei set to unveil five new devices for the global market. Firstly, it is the Huawei Ascend W1. It will be the first ever Huawei brand Windows Phone 8 device. Huawei Ascend W1 will made its debut at next month.
There are four more possible devices that set to announce by Huawei. Firstly, it is the much rumoured Huawei Ascend Mate. Earlier before, we found out that the mysterious Huawei device in China is the Huawei Honor 2. So how about the Huawei Ascend Mate? OK. Huawei Ascend Mate might existed after all. The specs included 6.1 inches display with 1080p Full HD resolution, 1.8GHz K3V2 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 4000mAh battery along. The thickness of Huawei Ascend Mate around 9.9mm.
Secondly, is the Huawei Ascend D2. It made its appearance last week in an event in China. Some of the specs already revealed. It has 5 inches of HD display. The resolution is at least 720p. The processor will be the 1.5GHz K3V2 quad-core processor. The camera has 13 mega-pixel shooter and 1.3 mega-pixel for front camera. The Android version is Jelly Bean with 3000mAh battery on board.
Another Ascend that set to make appearance is the Huawei Ascend P2. The display of Huawei Ascend P2 will be below 5 inches. The processor will be a quad-core processor and the RAM is at least 1GB. Since Huawei Ascend D2 has 5 inches display, the Huawei Ascend P2 will has smaller display. This is because one is for phablet market and another one is for smartphone. This is similar with Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
The last one is the Huawei Ascend W2. It is another Windows Phone 8 device from Huawei. It is not sufficient for Huawei to enter the Windows Phone market with just one device. Earlier before, we received a series of images of mysterious Huawei Windows Phone device. It might be the Huawei Ascend W2. The Huawei Ascend W1 will be the main high end device as Huawei Ascend W2 will be slightly behind. Just look at the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 or HTC 8X and HTC 8S.
Huawei Ascend W1 and Ascend W1 will announce by end of this year while other will announce at beginning of 2013.
