(GSM Insider) - Forget about the LG Nexus 4 in China. The hottest smartphone at the moment belongs to XiaoMi Phone 2. XiaoMi Phone 2 sold out in less than 3 minutes. It was faster than the LG Nexus sold in around 22 minutes. The was the crazy scene that happened in Chinese smartphone market.
According to official website, XiaoMi Phone 2 sold out in just 2 minutes and 29 seconds. What a record! The XiaoMi M1S also sold out in 12 minutes and 2 seconds. There were 300,000 units of XiaoMi M1S and 100,000 units of XiaoMi Phone 2 on sales this time. But seems like the demand was too large.
The XiaoMi Phone 2 comes with 4.3 inch of HD display up to 342ppi, Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8 mega-pixels of camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The specs are almost same level like the LG Nexus 4 and the LG Optimus G. It is also known as the XiaoMi Mi2 or XiaoMi M2 in China.
The XiaoMi M1S is the upgraded version of XiaoMi M1. It packed with Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 8 mega-pixels of camera, 4 inch of display, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as well.
Since both were sold out in such short period. You can see how popular these two devices in China. The XiaoMi Phone 2 selling at RMB $1999 and the XiaoMi M1S selling at RMB $1599.
