Just make sure you purchase the correct smartphone then there will not be any problem in the future. If you plan to purchase either LG Optimus G and Samsung Galaxy S3, but unable to decide which one to purchase? Read on this post first.
LG Optimus G has the In-Cell display which said to have lower battery consumption compare to other. Is the In-Cell display so good? Yes. It is better than the one in Samsung Galaxy S3. LG released the result of the comparison of battery between its own Optimus G and the Samsung Galaxy S3.
LG Optimus G and Samsung Galaxy S3 both are using 2100mAh battery. To make it fair, the brightness of both smartphones are switched to only 50%.
First to compare is the talk time of both devices. According to the official product information, LG Optimus G able to make 3G calls for 15 hours while Samsung Galaxy S3 able to make 3G calls for 11.5 hours. But in reality, LG Optimus G able to make 3G calls for 15.8 hours while Samsung Galaxy S3 only able at 9.5 hours (Reminder: Both are set to 50% brightness). This is so much lesser than expected.
Second, both are used to test the recording time. According tor result, LG Optimus G able to make video recording for 3.8 hours continuously while Samsung Galaxy S3 only managed at 2.8 hours.
Last, both devices are tested to playing video and games. The video was Oppa Gangnam Style and the game is a 1.8GB touchscreen game. According to result, LG Optimus G managed 7.9 hours while Samsung Galaxy S3 managed only 7.3 hours.
From these three tests, the LG Optimus G is dominating over the Samsung Galaxy S3 in terms of battery life. Is the product information from Samsung is not accurate after all? At least Samsung is yet to response to this at the moment.
Perhaps, the LG Optimus G and the upcoming LG Nexus 4 are the important tools for LG to awake from the mobile phone industry. Recently, Samsung even expect that LG will become world's third largest smartphone maker in 2H2013. At least at the moment, the performance of LG smartphones and phablets are impressive. LG really needs to work on more advertising to improve the popularity of its devices.
