Sony Shows Interest In Windows Phone 8 as Talks With Microsoft Going On




GSM Insider - Seems like the Windows Phone 8 attracting the interest from more and more manufacturers. Samsung ATIV S is the world's first Windows Phone 8 device. Earlier this week, Nokia announced Lumia 820 and Lumia 920. About ten days later, HTC tipped to announce their Windows Phone 8 devices. ZTE's Windows Phone 8 devices coming in next year. And now, Sony Mobile shows their interest in Microsoft's operating system as well.

‘Sony’s strategy is one of openness. Microsoft is a Sony partner with the likes of our VAIO laptops and it’s integrated onto our tablets. As far as Xperia smartphones go, Android remains the preferred partner, although Sony is not a single partner company. We are currently investigating with the likes of Microsoft the possibility of diversifying our product strategy.’ - Sony Mobile’s UK & Ireland MD Pierre Perron

The talks still going on between Sony Mobile and Microsoft on the possible of Windows Phone 8 runs on Sony smartphone. This is because Sony Mobile trusts that Windows Phone 8 has a good and bright future. However, the Windows Phone 8 from Sony going to get new brand. Just like the Xperia for Android devices.
