Barnes & Noble Unveils Two New Tablets - Nook HD and Nook HD+

(GSM Insider) - A few weeks ago, Amazon unveiled the Amazon Kindle 2 and Amazon Kindle HD. Yesterday, Amazon rival Barnes & Noble unveiled two tablet as well - Nook HD and Nook HD+.











Here are the key specifications of Nook HD:

Display: 7 inches with 1440 x 900 resolution, 246ppi, Nook Simple Touch technology
Processor: 1.3GHz TI OMAP 4470 dual-core
RAM: 1GB
ROM: 8GB and 16GB, microSD expansion
Battery Capacity: 4050mAh
Price: 8GB - $199, 16GB - $299














Here are the key specifications of Nook HD+:

Display: 9 inches IPS with 1920x1280 resolution, 264ppi, Nook Simple Touch technology
Processor: 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 dual-core
RAM: 1GB
ROM: 16GB and 32GB, microSD expansion
Battery Capacity: 6000mAh
Extras: WiFi, Bluetooth, SRS, HDMI port
Price: 16GB - $269, 32GB - $299

From these two devices, Nook HD+ is the upgraded version of Nook HD. The Nook HD+ is certainly better than the Amazon Kindle HD from certain aspects.
