Toshiba To Cancel Windows RT Tablet, Focusing On Windows 8 Tablet



(GSM Insider) - Today, Japan based  Toshiba announced the plans to cancel Windows RT tablet due to the delayed in components and parts. 

For the Windows RT tablet, Toshiba originally plans to use TI processor that based on ARM technology. But with the plans cancelled. Toshiba now focusing on the Windows 8 Tablet that based on Intel Inside processor. 

“Toshiba has decided not to introduce Windows RT models due to delayed components that would make a timely launch impossible,” Eric Paulsen, a U.S-based spokesman, said in the statement. “For the time being, Toshiba will focus on bringing Windows 8 products to market. We will continue to look into the possibility of Windows RT products in the future while monitoring market conditions.” 

As time being, Toshiba never mentioned on which components that get delayed. Anyway, there still Windows 8 tablets coming soon from Toshiba. No worries Toshiba fans.  [Source]
