The new iPhone 5 could coming with 5 rows of apps instead of the 4 rows at the current iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. With 5 rows of apps, it could certainly turned your home screen to more compact with apps and spaces between the apps icons certainly become smaller.
Apparently, someone was playing around in Xcode and found that by setting the resolution to 640 x 1136 or higher, the default setup of the home screen changes from 4 rows of icons to 5. But those only appeared at iOS 6 emulator. However, there still no news on the iPhone 5 or the iOS 6 with 5 rows of apps. All secret will be unveil on 12 September at Apple event. [Source]
