Tough! Microsoft Surface Tablet Ran Over By Car, But Remains Functionable

(GSM Insider) - Are you tough enough, Microsoft Surface? Yes. I am tough. From the latest image provided by Microsoft Surface user, it showed that the latest Microsoft tablet is a tough gadget.

According to someone from the United States, he stated that his Microsoft Surface tablet with Windows RT still functionable after ran over by a car. The display remains unbroken and not even a scratch or crack. Its really surprising.

He stated that he put the Surface tablet on top of the car. After that, he got in to the car and drove the car without notice the tablet still on top. Soon, the tragedy happened. 

After that, he rushed over to the tablet. He realized that the Surface RT still able to function and the display remained unbroken. Seems like this gadget will replace Nokia as one of the toughest gadget in market.

The Sales of Surface RT In China Are Not Impressive As Other Countries

(GSM Insider) - Since the launched of Microsoft Surface tablet, it already sold out in many countries like UK, USA, France, Germany, Canada and Australia. At the moment, the Surface RT with TouchCover with the price of $599 also sold out as well.

The sales of Surface RT across the European countries and America are so impressive. So how about Asia? It is not so impressive. China as the world's largest country, Microsoft Surface with Windows RT is yet to sell out at there. This is something Microsoft should focus on. The Surface RT with all 3 versions are available at China at the moment. The popularity of Surface RT is not as high as other Android devices, this might be the main reason behind it. 

Microsoft should satisfied with the Surface RT sales. As for China market, they need to put more effort as well. We shall see the sales of Surface tablet on next year after Microsoft release the Q4 2012 financial report.

(GSM Insider) - Recently, Microsoft launched Surface tablet after the launch event of Windows 8. The Surface tablet available for pre-order in many countries at the moment. You might interested to know the costs of Surface tablet.

According to IHS, the costs of Microsoft Surface 32GB are $271. The main components are the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. The display and memory components are from Samsung. Almost half of the $271 are earned by Samsung. The display, memory chips, and the battery cost about $137. The TouchCover costs are only $16. Microsoft able to earn larger profit margin with the sales on the TouchCover. 

Although the costs are able to calculate, but there are still hidden costs that are unable to calculate. It is hard to determine how much Microsoft earned from overall. Dont forget the R&D costs that Microsoft invested along with the time and man power.
