(GSM Insider) - ZTE V988 Approves By Chinese Authority, Another Device Looks Like Grand S.
There is no news yet on the ZTE Grand S. But there is more news on the "siblings" of ZTE Grand S. ZTE V987 is one of the devices that share the same design like the ZTE Grand S. It was on sale in China a few weeks ago. And now, the twin brother of the ZTE V987 appeared. It is known as the ZTE V988.
ZTE V988 has 2GB of RAM while ZTE V987 has 1GB of RAM. ZTE V988 has a 6.9mm body and 110g of weight. So the ZTE V988 is lighter and thinner than the ZTE V987. The display of ZTE V988 is 5-inch with 720p HD resolution which is the same like ZTE V987. ZTE V988 running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
Other specs of ZTE V988 include 8-megapixels main camera, 1.3-megapixels front camera, 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
Sources reported that the ZTE V988 is priced at RMB$1999 ($320). The ZTE V987 was priced at RMB$1699 ($272). But the ZTE V987 only features 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6589 quad-core and 1GB of RAM.
