(GSM Insider) - Bloomberg: Apple Working On Cheaper And Smaller iPhone, Debut On Late 2013.
The latest news from Bloomberg suggests that Apple is currently working in a cheaper iPhone. This is because Apple hopes to tap on customers from developing nations.
According to Bloomberg, Apple had been working on a more affordable iPhone since the February 2011. This cheaper iPhone is set to price around $99 to $149. The debut of this cheaper iPhone is said to be around late 2013. And Apple has spoken to at least one carrier in the United States on this plan.
This is probably the strategy shift from the Cupertino based company. iPhones from Apple are used to price at expensive price and consider as luxury products. But the company could change its strategy in order to tap on large base of customers in developing nations.
GSM Insider revealed that Apple CEO visits China. Tim Cook's trip to China could be involving the cheaper iPhone since Apple interested to tap on the Chinese market.
