(GSM Insider) - There are rumours stated that Sony set to sell of its battery business in order to cut the costs while there are potential buyers as well.
According to Digitimes, two of the potential buyers of Sony battery is Foxconn International and BYD from Chinese.
The main reason that caused Sony to ditch its battery business as it feels the battery business no longer competitive as there are more companies entered the market. The main competitors for Sony battery is from China and South Korea.
At the moment, non-of the players confirm on the possible acquisitions.
