Next Generation Nexus Set To Debut In October, Comes With 4.2 Key Lime Pie

(GSM Insider) - Wow. Wow. Is the next Nexus smartphone coming to us? Rumours suggest that it coming to us. In the latest series of rumours suggested that the next Nexus smartphone coming by the end of October.

We knew that the Nexus is the flagship device from Google as it represents the first smartphone to run on the latest Android. Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first to run on 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich while the Google Nexus 7 tablet is the first to run and 4.1 Jelly Bean. Samsung Galaxy Nexus also receives update to 4.1 Jelly Bean as well.

So it has been sometimes since Google debut its Nexus smartphone. According to latest rumours, Google set to debut its Nexus by end of this month, October. If this is true, then it is interesting to see whether how many Nexus devices coming from Google.

Will it be five Nexus smartphones or just one Nexus smartphone? It is interesting to see. Before that, we reported that Nexus smartphone are going to make by HTC, Samsung, Sony, LG and Motorola. Here are some possible names of the Nexus, Samsung Galaxy Nexus II, LG Optimus Nexus and Sony Xperia Nexus. These are not any strange names as well because it leaked for many times before.

HTC is not going to miss out on this as it was the first manufacturer for the Nexus – HTC Google Nexus One. For the case of Motorola, Motorola is under the control of Google. It is logic that Google allows Motorola to produce the Nexus.

Since it is the new Nexus, so it surely will feature the latest Android version. After the Jelly Bean, here comes the Key Lime Pie. Key Lime Pie is yet to be confirmed by Google yet as it just a prediction on the name and according to the alphabetical order. Key Lime Pie is not the 5.0 version but the 4.2 version. It is too soon for Google to go into 5th version yet.

As a consumer, I love to see many Nexus available in the market. So that no more monopoly in the future. It is also very interesting to see how OEMs compete against each other for the best Nexus.
