(GSM Insider) - At the IFA 2012, Samsung announced the ATIV Series that based on Windows operating system. Samsung ATIV S and Samsung ATIV Tab fall under the ATIV Series. Samsung ATIV S running on Windows Phone 8 while the Samsung ATIV Tab running on the Windows RT.
The resolution of ATIV Tab is 1366 x 768 which is not as high as the Retina Display of New iPad. Perhaps this is the first tablet from Samsung that runs on Windows RT, Samsung not equipped it with powerful specs. The back case of the ATIV Tab is glossy finished that similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It gives us the feeling of cheap like plastic and not the metal. From the side, we can see there are some holes for the tablet to cool which is very good for longer time usage.
