(GSM Insider) - Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (II) is the latest device to enter the phablet. There are not much players in the phablet market because the phablet market is between the smartphone and tablet. Phablet is the word comes from phone and tablet.
From four devices -- Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Samsung Galaxy Note, LG Optimus VU and Lenovo LePhone K860, only the Galaxy Note 2 running on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean while others running on the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Optimus VU received 4.0 ICS update recently. Moreover, LG Mobile announced the LG Optimus VU 2 but not much details yet.
Out of four phablets, Samsung Galaxy Note is the one that running on dual-core instead of the quad-core on four others. From the processor, the Galaxy Note 2 (II) with 1.6GHz Exynos 4412 is the fastest, follows by Lenovo LePhone K860, LG Optimus VU and the last one is Galaxy Note.
From the display, LG Optimus VU has the smallest screen with only 5 inch. The Galaxy Note with 5.3 inch while Galaxy Note 2 (II) and LePhone K860 both with 5.5 inch display.
For the RAM, all phablets running on 1GB RAM unless the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that running on 2GB of RAM. Cool! For ROM, all phablets come with at least 8GB of memory and microSD expansion exclude the Optimus VU that cannot insert microSD.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (II) comes with largest battery power -- 3100mAh. Galaxy Note with 2500mAh. LG Optimus VU with 2080mAh. and Lenovo Phone K860 with 2200mAh.
