(GSM Insider) - The battle for Full HD smartphone is going on fiercely and should continue to next year. Earlier this week, Sharp announced the Aquos Phone SH930W in Europe. Surprisingly, it is not western Europe but announced it in Russia.

It is compatible with the 4G LTE connectivity, it is suitable for fast internet speed. The Android version is the 4.1 Jelly Bean. 

The only let down of this Sharp Aquos Phone SH930W is the processor as it only featured a dual-core processor. We hope that Sharp is going to launch this device globally rather than in Russia on Europe only.

(GSM Insider) - We hardly see any Sharp smartphone or tablet released to the global market as most of the Sharp gadgets are available in Japan only. Another Sharp device spotted at the benchmark - Sharp SH930W. Will Sharp ships this device globally? Maybe.

Sharp SH930W was spotted at the benchmark. In other words, this Sharp SH930W currently on the testing progress. From the information on GLBenchmark, Sharp SH930W comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a 1080p Full HD display. The processor is a 1.5GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm MSM8260A while the GPU is Adreno 225. Sharp SH930W csupports GSM and WCDMA networks. Other hardwares included supports microSD expansion, 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. 

From our analyst, we believe that Sharp SH930W might be another Sharp Aquos Phone. Since rumours said Sharp SH930W comes with 1080p Full HD display, it is possible that the display of Sharp SH930W is the Sharp IGZO display.

Japanese Carrier KDDI Unveils World's First IGZO Display Tablet - AQUOS Pad SHT21

(GSM Insider) - Yesterday, we reported that Sharp set to unveil IGZO tablet in the near future. Seems like the news is true as Sharp unveils its first ever IGZO display tablet which is the AQUOS Pad SHT21. Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E is the first ever smartphone with IGZO display.

Since the IGZO display has the lower power consumption then others, Sharp promised that the battery life is 2.5 times longer then ordinary tablet. Furthermore, Sharp AQUOS Pad SHT21 tablet has NFC and 4G LTE enabled. The 4G LTE is compatible with the KDDI Network.

KDDI set to release the Sharp AQUOS Pad SHT21 in December this year. With this tablet, can we expect more tablet and smartphone using the IGZO display?

Sharp Set To Produce IGZO Display For Tablet, Available By This Year

(GSM Insider) - In this year Spring, Japanese display manufacturer, Sharp successfully invented the display made by Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide, which is known as the IGZO. It is the only manufacturer for IGZO display in the world. And now, Sharp set to utilize its IGZO display and integrated them in the smartphone and tablet.

Last week, Sharp unveiled two smartphone in Japan - Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E and Sharp AQUOS PHONE Xx 203SH. The Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E is the world's first smartphone to use the IGZO display. 

According to latest news from Sharp employee, Sharp is interested to manufacture the IGZO display for the tablet. IGZO display is a very new display technology. Intel is very impressed with this type of display and it is said that Intel set to produce the processor which is compatible with the IGZO display. 

At the moment, at least we saw the smartphone with the IGZO display. It is just a matter of time before tablets in the market are using such display. Just hope that Sharp and Foxconn able to find more OEM to support the IGZO display.  [source]

IGZO display has a very efficient technology that developed by Sharp as it consume only 20% as much as the traditional a-Si display. This could help the device to prolong the standby time.

Foxconn Chairman Slams Sharp Over Delay of Agreement

(GSM Insider) - There are rumours stated that Foxconn may quit in the partnership with Sharp. This is because Sharp's board of director does not give any response to Foxconn on this issue. 

According to report, Foxconn interested to invest in Sharp to allow them to maintain competitive in display market with conditions. The conditions include Foxconn to gain control power on Sharp. But the board of director of Sharp havent give any decision to Foxcoon on this. 

Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou slammed the slow decision making of Sharp regarding in this issue. However, reports from Japan stated that Sharp not considering the options from Foxconn yet. In case Foxconn decided not to invest in Sharp, they will have plan B for themselves.

Foxconn is not short of capital since they are the manufacturers of Apple iPhone. iPhone 5 are said to be in the manufacturing state at the moment.
