Samsung Set To Ditch Exynos And Goes For Snapdragon 600 For Upcoming Galaxy S4

(GSM Insider) - Samsung Set To Ditch Exynos And Goes For Snapdragon 600 For Upcoming Galaxy S4.

On last year, both Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 were introduced to the market. Both devices were powered by the Samsung owned Exynos 4412 quad-core processor. Samsung uses its own Exynos processor definitely provides more profits for the company rather than a third party processor. But things might change soon.

According to sources from Korea, Samsung ready to ditch its own Exynos processor from the Samsung Galaxy S4. This is because the Exynos 5 Octa processor has overheated and power consumption issues that are yet to be solved.

LG Optimus G Pro and HTC One are the leading Android flagships that powered by the Snapdragn 600 processor. Therefore, the Samsung Galaxy S4 could follow the trend as well.

There will be two different versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4. The first will be the HSPA+ version and the second will be the LTE version. Since the LTE network is getting popular in different regions, Samsung might push on the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE version this year. The latest rumors suggested that the launch date of Samsung Galaxy S4 is on March 14, 2013.

The real competition for HTC is competing with itself in every level. The main objective for HTC is to introduce the device with value. HTC provides great value for users as it is integrated with human life.

Last year, HTC suffered a huge loss in the smartphone market. At the end of last year, HTC introduced the HTC Butterfly that recorded impressive sales in some regions. HTC hopes that the HTC One will do well in the market as well.

(GSM INsider) - LG Optimus G Pro vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 - Specs Comparison.

LG Optimus G Pro is aiming for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Since Samsung is yet to unveil any new device, lets go for the current Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Although Samsung is the leader of the world smartphone market, but LG certainly hopes to take something from its rival in the market. The challenge already started with the LG Nexus 4 and now the LG Optimus G Pro will take the responsibility to topple Samsung.

The LG Optimus G Pro goes head to head with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3. You can check out the differences between all three devices at below:

The LG Optimus G Pro indeed looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in certain point of view. The physical menu button in the middle is similar to the menu button on Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3. But the LG Optimus G has the ultra thin bezel which makes it almost bezel-less.

LG Optimus G Pro and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the 5.5-inch size display. But the display of LG Optimus G Pro is the Full HD resolution while Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 are rather "half" HD. So the pixels per inch of LG Optimus G Pro is the highest among these two Samsung flagships.

LG Optimus G Pro is powered by the 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T quad-core processor while Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 are powered by the Exynos 4412 quad-core processor. No way the Exynos 4412 going to defeat the Snapdragon 600. But the upcoming Exynos 5 Octa could challenge the Snapdragon 600.

The LG Optimus G Pro has a 13-megapixels camera while Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 have only 8-megapixels main camera. For the front-facing camera, the LG Optimus G Pro has 2.1-megapixels while Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 have 1.9-megapixel.

If you interested to know how thick is the LG Optimus G Pro, the answer is same like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. So you can have a touch on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to understand the thickness of LG Optimus G Pro. Samsung Galaxy S3 is thinner among all three devices with a thickness not more than 9mm.

Not only the Samsung Galaxy S3 supported the wireless charging as the LG Optimus G Pro supported the wireless charging technology as well. LG Optimus G Pro is supporting the LTE network and the same goes to Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. But make sure you look for the correct model number for LTE model.

Which one to purchase? LG Optimus G Pro or Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or Samsung Galaxy S3? You decide.
