North Korea is one of the mysterious countries around the world. It doesn't simply opens to the public for visits and people from that country unable to travel as well. It doesn't have freedom on the internet as well as freedom of tv programs.

Surprisingly, Korean news website revealed that the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is using a smartphone. It's a shock since that country isn't well developed at all. 

The smartphone trend enters different regions around the world. Human has high reliability on the smartphone since it was launched to the world a few years ago. Even one of the most strict dictator using a smartphone.

The Korean website revealed that Kim Jong-un is using the "latest HTC brand smartphone". Since it is the latest, it could be the HTC One X+ or HTC Butterfly. The North Korean leader isn't outdated as all and able to keep up the pace with the smartphone trend. 

It won't surprise with the North Korean leader opted for HTC instead of other brands like Apple and Samsung. This is because Apple is from the United States while Samsung is from neighborhood rival.

(GSM Insider) - Rumour: Google CEO Set To Visit North Korea Later This Year.

North Korea is one of the most strict country in the world on internet issues. Since this country is highly guarded and yet to develop, it is important for Google to look on this new business opportunity. 


According to latest report from Associated Press, reliable sources stated that Google CEO Eric Schmidt could be on his way to visit North Korea later this year. The visits of the Google CEO could be on the internet issue and Android

Google might looking at the internet opportunity in North Korea and the smartphone market. It remains unknown how true is this and whether Eric Schmidt is going to make this trip. However, Reuters reported that Google refused to comment on this matter and stated that it is a personal issue.

Mysterious "Samjiyon" Android Tablet Spotted In North Korea

(GSM Insider) - We used to know that North Korea is a strict military country if compare to neighbour South Korea. It is a very mysterious country since not many able to visit them. And now, an Android tablet spotted in North Korea.

From the image leaked, we can clearly see there is an Android tablet on the hand of Choi Cheol Min of Chosun Computer. This event is some kind of electronics exhibition as you can see other gadgets on the table. But the interesting one is the Android tablet.

According to WSJ, the Android tablet is made by local North Korean company. A word "Samjiyon" is spotted at the back of the Android tablet. It might be the name or the brand of that Android tablet. From the rules and regulations, it is believes that there will be no Android market in the tablet. But it is a breakthrough as American operating system powered tablet was spotted in North Korea.  [WSJ]
